HEREDITARY MEMBERSHIP (Member & Junior)

Any male who has attained the age of fourteen years (6 to 14 for Juniors), who can trace his ancestry from any Soldier, Sailor or Marine who saw service in the Army or Navy of the United States during the American Civil War of 1861 to 1865 and who was honorably discharged or died while in the service of his country, may become a Member. The ancestor may be of the paternal or maternal line and may be direct lineage (grandfather, great grandfather, etc.), or indirect lineage (a brother of a grandfather or grandmother, a great grandfather or great grandmother, etc.). Documentation required for a Member includes a completed application with lineage, along with proof (photocopy) of the applicant's ancestor's military service record or honorable discharge during the Civil War.

ASSOCIATE

Any male who has attained the age of fourteen years and who is interested in and willing to support the work of the SUVCW, but is lacking the lineal connection to a veteran, may become an Associate. Being an Associate does not limit your opportunity to hold Camp office or to vote in Camp elections. Up to one third of an individual Camp's membership may be composed of Associates. Fellow Camp members will help you to research your ancestry, to discover if you have a Civil War Soldier, Sailor or Marine ancestor that will qualify you to become a Member.

Application Fee and Annual Dues

There is a one time application fee of $40 to cover processing costs

Current Camp dues are $50 (prorated quarterly) and can be paid by cash, check or PayPal
